ACHIEVEMENTS

B4VK's Sally Beard named Westfield local hero for 2020

These inspiring local leaders were nominated and voted for by the community and will now be awarded a $10,000 grant for each of their affiliated organisations to help their important work to grow.

Westfield Local Heroes is a community recognition and grants program, connecting and enriching local communities. Launched in 2018, the program spans our 42 trade areas across Australia and New Zealand. In 2020, we are awarding $1.26 million to 126 local organisations.

B4VK's Sally Beard wins the Australian Knight awards for 2020

Every Australia Day, staff at The Knight, - an organisation representing Owner Corporations Managers, recognise a worthy recipient for their Australian Knight award; someone who has demonstrated qualities that personify those of a Knight, including bravery, selflessness and leadership.

This year's winner was none other than B4VK founder Sally Beard, who receives a generous $10,000 donation to B4VK from The Knight - that sure is a lot of backpacks!

B4VK has a new delivery van

Our new dedicated Backpacks delivery van has been a great addition and will ensure our stock can be more easily delivered to those in need and with far greater speed too.

We can now deliver up to 200 ME Packs at once! We can pick up and move large quantities of stock and be more self-reliant.

New tiny sites 2019

These containers full of essential backpacks and nappy bags are located throughout Victoria, to allow organisations or social workers to gain 24/7 access to critical supplies as and when they need it.

We are looking to grow this convenient initiative further in the future, to help increase state-wide coverage.

Priority 18 helped us take control

2019 saw the scoping and implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning Tool. With the professional assistance from Orchard Consulting Group, who went above and beyond in their roles to nip and tuck Priority18 to suit our operations and needs.

2020 Update:

A huge thank you to Medatech for providing B4VK  with a 3 month subscription to help us get through the COVID-19 crisis!

Congratulations

For her dedication to helping the community, Sally (B4VK founder and manager), was presented with the Premier’s Volunteer Champions Leadership Award during a ceremony at Government House on Sunday, 11 February 2018.
