Our Founder and CEO Sally Beard was last years very honored winner and accepted $20,000 on behalf of us here at B4VK.
Motivated by her own experiences, Sally started Backpacks 4 Vic Kids over 11 years ago from her own home.
“I’ve been a foster carer and informal kinship carer and have experienced young people arriving at my door with little to nothing more than what they’re wearing. I wanted to change that.”
Thanks to the funding awarded by Westfield, we were able to fund the 200 My Essential packs to babies, children and youth in out of home and emergency care.
